My 1st Sewing Project

Last weekend in Chicago, Nicole gave me her sewing machine which she claimed she hadn't touched in a dozen years. I'm sure you know that sewing machines can be expensive, so to show my gratitude to Nicole, my first sewing project was something she needs:

A Draft Dodger!

That's one of those things that goes at the base of a door that stops the draft from coming in from outside. In case you can't tell, this draft dodger is a cat that looks like the two cats she has. The only difference is that this one doesn't run when you reach down to pet it...

Quote of the Day

“Wine can be explained and not explained. For great wine, like great art, there’s something higher—or perhaps below—the conscious mind that must remain a mystery.”

Did Google make a mistake?

Google.com is known for theme-ing out their logo to go along with the day you are viewing their site. Today, for instance is Valentine's Day, and they replaced the little "g" with a chocolate covered strawberry. But does something else look amiss about the logo? Does it appear to you that the L is missing? The internet is abuzz today with possible reasons for this... I have my opinion, but what's yours? Vote now!

What's up with Google today?
A. They've made a mistake! They forgot the L!!!
B. The stem of the strawberry is the L.
C. They set themselves up for typography porn jokes.
D. Googe is a superficial reference for Debbie Googe, the bassist for My Bloody Valentine.

“This wine is too good for toast-drinking, my dear. You don’t want to mix emotions up with a wine like that. You lose the taste.”

Can't wait...

Finally! A HAPPY Groundhog's Day!

Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!
Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:

El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.

Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.

On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?

On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.

Now Presenting...

THE BEST PHOTO EVER!!!!

Erin sent out more wedding pictures. I'll have to put more up later, but I just had to get this fantastic picture up IMMEDIATELY! Matt, how did you get your eyeball to go fisheye?!

Things I've learned at work today so far:

1. Harriet is the worst name ever for a woman.

2. If I were getting married in Pennsylvania, I would totally have my reception at The Moshulu.
